Audio Gamer Video Launches Channel - 16/02/2009

About Family Gamer

Family Gamer start in 2007 to provide space for niche video game writers. Since then we have accrued a rag-tag bunch of interesting hacks. We cover games for families, for teens, for fitness, for sport, for racing, for returning and even eclectic gamers.

Our writers now contribute to the Game Pro network, the Wired Blog, Gamasutra and a smattering of local newspapers.

For more information about this or other press releases, contact our Editor in Chief. He is more than happy to provide interviews, discuss advertising, or in fact any other ideas you have for us.

About Rebecca Mayes

Rebecca Mayes is the first of a series of new creative contributors who are engaging with video games in new ways. We believe that for such an unusual and engaging medium we need to discover inventive and interesting ways to talk about it. Coming up in 2009 is our Origami Gamer, Haiku Gamer and Vignette Gamer.

All the writers on Family Gamer want to interact directly with readers. Why not catch Rebecca's twitter updates, friend her on Facebook, or just email to see how she is getting on.

To celebrate appearing in the Official Playstation Magazine, Rebecca Mayes launches her Family Gamer > Audio Gamer TV channel [http://www.gamepeople.co.uk/rebeccamayes_tv.htm] with her first music video. Fans of her Hotel Dusk song will be please to hear it rendered in full audio visual excellence.

Viewers will be able to follow Mayes' progress with future songs as she streams progress to the channel each week. Not only that but with the service being hosted on Vimeo, so visitors can chat, interact and generally get to know the young singer songwriter a lot better.

As you can tell this is a big investment for both Family Gamer and Rebecca and reflects our recognition of the significant response in both niche and mainstream media. In her own words:

'I've been amazed and the imediate and warm response from both fans and publications from all walks of the video gaming world.'

Game People family video game reviews support Association of Family Gamers. They also offer niche and anecdotal dad, mum, teen and senior video game reviews.
