We don't score games like other sites. Instead, we provide the information you need to work out how highly you rate them.

But we do want to highlight the games we think will excel for gamers of different ages. Once a quarter (Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn) we pick one game in the following categories to receive this award:

Challenge Awards (Coming in 2009)

This award highlights games that deliver a rounded experience at a consistent level of difficulty. Our very own forest walk difficulty guide for games. Maybe you want an easy evening strolling through a game, or a long hard night being put to the test. The games here should be the first ones you reach for.

As we review games through the year we give the following awards to the cream of the crop:

These games keep the difficulty dialled down but don't scrimp on the experience. If you are short on time, or lacking energy, or introducing someone to gaming, these titles are the ones to curl up with.
These games stretch your legs a little, but keep things on a level path. No difficulty spikes here, just a consistent and compelling experience.
These games take you by the hand and present you with a rich landscape to conquer. Pack some snacks and drinks because this can take some time.
These games stand tall and immovable as a mountain range. Kendle mint cake is a must as settle down for many days of hard testing play. Always fair and always challenging - but well worth it once you have got to the top and conquered all.

Game People family video game reviews support Association of Family Gamers. They also offer niche and anecdotal dad, mum, teen and senior video game reviews.
