Water Sports Wii adds variety to your balance board fitness regime. Although limited in terms of gaming, it is good to see a game that places balance rather than weight-loss at the centre of its health plan.

Sports games recreate a wide variety of real life competitive activities. Depending on the sport, these will either have an action or strategy focus. Popular sports games are often released on an annual basis, each year the game receives new player rosters and game improvements.
More recently these sports games have started to provide the option of controlling a single player rather than the whole team. This gives the game an almost role play feel as the gamer works to develop their chosen character through the course of a season.
Alongside this is the trend towards simulation rather than direct control. Recent games such as Pro Evolution Soccer 08 Wii free the player from micro-managing every play, enabling them instead to focus on overarching tactics and general moves. Some say this helps them in their online sports betting.
Water Sports Wii adds variety to your balance board fitness regime. Although limited in terms of gaming, it is good to see a game that places balance rather than weight-loss at the centre of its health plan.
Tiger Woods 11 Wii crafts an addictively unique swing. It's most impressive because it responds to real golf technique, and has me practising even when I'm not playing.
Tiger Woods 11 Wii adds depth and fidelity to their MotionPlus enhanced real golf swing. This creates an experience that combines the best of previous versions, and offers something a little extra for golfing experts - video gaming and real world.
Kinect and Move join the Wii in motion gaming. As with Nintendo, it will be the games that make all the difference to both the success and popularity of this new technology.
Tiger Woods 11 may not reinvent the game, but for real world players or pro Wii golfers, it's the game of choice. Enhanced MotionPlus swinging and the new first person view combine to create a realistic rendition of my favourite pastime.
Skate 3 courts the mainstream with sales targets and an all new, squeaky-clean city as well as team play, Own It and Kill It awards for each challenge and a much expanded online experience. However, despite several improvements, as a former skater, a part of me is mourning the loss of the rough-edged, dissenting streak of the previous outing.
The direct correlation between the Wii's controller and a golf club made these games a no-brainer for the Wii. Because of this, a number of games have been developed each with their own approach. Super Swing Golf provides a realistic one-to-one swing mechanic and some special moves, all wrapped up in a light hearted fun-focused rendering of the sport.
FIFA World Cup innovates alongside its official data to create a better game. Two button play, altitude fatigue and official team sheets and stadia combine to make 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa all it should be.
Baseball Blast! promises a lot but, like its overblown exclamation touting title, promises more than it can deliver. MotionPlus should have been a revolution here, but seems to have little effect. Publisher 2K Sports tried hard to wring all it could from baseball, but too many uninspired minigames prove the title's downfall.

Water Sports Wii is a lightweight alternative to the successful Wii Sports Resort that offers just four events for our family to enjoy. Although the selection was limited the game proved an unexpected hit with our kids and thanks to the Balance Board integration, it became a great workout game for the adults.
When it hit the shelves in the autumn of 2007, Skate quickly proved a huge hit, redefining the possibilities of skateboard based gaming. As a result, Skate 2 has been one of the most eagerly anticipated sequels of recent years. The question is, after a couple of weeks of thorough testing, how does your friendly neighbourhood sports game fan rate EA Black Box's second instalment?
Cyberbike Wii comes with a full size well built exercise bike and is surprisingly well polished. If the bike was a little harder to pedal this would be a great fitness option, as it stands though it is simply a lot of fun.
The Gamercize Family Fit bike is a new idea to help gamers get fit while they play. It's designed to appeal to non-gamers and hard gamers alike.
Top Ranking Tennis still stands out even with all those other tennis games for all those other systems.
Little League World Series Baseball 2008 has some solid kids baseball fun and a good introduction to the sport. Offering a league mode, fast paced exhibition matches and a range of mini-game Little League should spark an ongoing interest in baseball.
Shimano Xtreme Fishing Wii tries hard to expand video fishing and manages to create some considerable fun along the way. It makes sure you're never bored with its three different singleplayer modes, engaging control system and even adds multiplayer for up to four players. I was impressed with the technique and deliver of the features here - this is the first fishing game I've really enjoyed playing.
Vancouver 2010 has its moments but the overall package lacked the bite of my childhood classic track and field. As a returning gamer I was disappointed with the repetition of events and the lack of any structure.
Vancouver 2010 360 is the closest I'll get to the Winter Olympics. While there are plenty of events the increasing difficulty and fiddly controls make this more of a runner up, rather than an Olympian.
This old one is always the best, forgotten, downtrodden but still dolling out the Dreamcast fun.
